Bentley Music Sdn Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Juara Partners Sdn Bhd to provide Shariah-compliant financing aimed at making musical instruments and education more accessible, particularly for civil servants.
The agreement was signed by Bentley Music managing director Datuk Dr Ken Phua and Juara Partners director Datuk Kamari Zaman Juhari at an event here today.
Under the collaboration, civil servants will be able to enrol in music classes at the Bentley Music Academy in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur, or purchase instruments from Bentley Music showrooms nationwide through structured financing plans.
Phua said the initiative marks a significant step in broadening access to music education and instruments.
"For over 51 years, Bentley Music has been more than just a retailer; it has been the heartbeat of Malaysia's musical landscape," he said.
"We recognise that for the 1.6 million civil servants serving the nation, a world-class musical instrument is often a lifelong dream.
"By providing a sustainable pathway to ownership, we are ensuring that quality and the joy of making music are no longer hindered by upfront financial barriers."
He added that the collaboration is ultimately about empowerment.
"It is about allowing our educators, public officials and artists to focus on what truly matters — their craft and their contribution to society," he said.
Kamari said access to financing remains a key challenge for many aspiring musicians.
"The key point of this arrangement is to empower music lovers, particularly government servants, to have access to financing," he said.
Financing approval will be subject to eligibility and income criteria, with Juara Partners facilitating the process while Bentley Music provides instruments and education.
